Since 2018, the Taste of Thanks has been our most treasured tradition—a sincere thank you to you, our incredible allies, partners, and community family.

This special event is carefully planned by the Pragnya Team to be a warm and welcoming space where everyone can connect, share stories, and celebrate the bonds we've built throughout the year. It's a true symbol of unity and appreciation.

Making the Holidays Brighter

 

The holiday season—from October's Halloween to December's Christmas and Kwanzaa—can be difficult for individuals with neurodevelopmental and mental health conditions. The sensory overload of crowds and noises, and, most importantly, the fear of judgment often leaves them feeling isolated.

It's a sad reality that as neurominority individuals age, they often lose their natural supports and rarely get invited to a festive, sit-down family feast.

Hence our Taste of Thanks event is so vital. It's an opportunity for them to experience the sheer joy of belonging—to sit down and dine with community members who are truly accepting and appreciative of who they are. This is their memorable meal, their fun, friends, and fanfare.
