What is a DRIVE-Thru DinkChak Dandiya?​

PRAGNYA's Dink Chak Dandiya was an effort to raise awareness about Neuro-Diversity and for raising funds for all the activities of PRAGNYA undertaken for the year.

​

The COVID19 Shelter In Place has been hard on many families and more on individuals with special needs. The good news is that after 211 days of sheltering in place, Santa Clara County has finally reached the ORANGE phase.

 

Some restrictions are eased but, we are still going to play it safe. Our Pragnya Board and a group of Parents and Allies came up with a plan for all the families to safely enjoy the DinkChak Dandiya experience/ Following the guidance of the Health Officers and Santa Clara County, we have implemented safety measures specific to COVID-19.

Since we cannot meet in person, a traditional Dandiya is out of the questions. So, how do we stay inline with our culture, enjoy the experience of a Dandiya and stay safe from COVID????

The Solution.... 

A DRIVE-THRU DINKCHAK DANDIYA!

 

Playing Dandiya with the family in the safety of our CARS!!!  We will have the Traditional POOJA + PRASAD & Photo Ops. All while following the safety Protocols!! 

COVID19 SAFETY PROTOCOLS:

  • Temperature checks mandated for all volunteers 

  • Maintaining 6ft Physical Distancing

  • All participants are required to wear face covering (Masks) 

  • All Volunteers will wear Gloves

  • PPE stations with Hand sanitizers, Mask & Gloves

  • At the registration desk, all participants fill out the Mandatory Health Self-screening form.

What Time : 2:00P to 6:00P (Please Pick Slot) 

Where      : 1917 Concourse Drive, San Jose, CA 95131

Here is the Plan :

  • Temperature checks mandated for all volunteers 

  • Maintaining 6ft Physical Distancing

  • All participants are required to wear face covering (Masks) 

  • All Volunteers will wear Gloves

  • PPE stations with Hand sanitizers, Mask & Gloves

  • All Attendees are requested to arrive at the stipulated time window.

  • Attendees Enter from RINGWOOD Ave. as Illustrated in the ROADMAP.

  • At the registration desk, all participants to fill out the Mandatory Health screening form and go through "Safety Checks"

  • Proceed to the DINKCHAK ZONES, where attendees get "Photo Ops" and also get to dance with the Volunteers wearing PPEs

  • If the Attendees want to come back for an Encore, they can use the "LOOP" and re-enter the DRIVE THRU (Max. 3 loops)

  • After Prasad and Photo Ops, Attendees can EXIT from the Concourse Drv.
